Many of us are trying to wrap our heads around a different kind of Christmas this year, a Christmas without parties or gatherings, maybe even a virtual Christmas Eve service. There's no question that 2020 has forced us to set aside many of our Christmas traditions, and most of us will spend this celebration at home. And for one homeowner in Texas that is the long-awaited answer to her prayers.

Sherri's home has been unlivable for more than three years since it was damaged in Hurricane Harvey. For the last three Christmases she has not been able to celebrate in her own home. She lived with friends and found short-term places to stay as the work on her house slowly progressed. Just a couple weeks ago she got word again that she was going to have to move out before Christmas. The restoration of her home was close enough that Sherri decided she would finally be moving back home. 

With no teams able to serve due to the resurgence of COVID, our Corpus Christi staff and some remote staff came together for a busy work week in November to get as much done as possible before Sherri had to move back in. There's still some touch-ups needed, but she was able to move back in this month with a functional kitchen and bathroom. There are other home owners like Sherri who will not be able to make it back into their homes in time for Christmas this year. Our Corpus Christi team is still working with several families who are in need of help and hope in 2021. Could you be the answer to their prayers?

Most weeks our site leader Rob will be working alone in homes to keep projects moving along; please pray for him and for others to come alongside him. We are registering short-term teams to serve in Corpus Christi in 2021, but we also know it might be a lot easier for families or individuals to make a trip.
