Ready for Ministry

Crisis (n) – a time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger; a time when a difficult or important decision must be made

That’s how the internet defines crisis. But when ReachGlobal Crisis Response uses the word crisis we are referring to an event or situation that disrupts the normalcy of life. But that could be almost anything! Exactly.

ReachGlobal Crisis Response is offering churches a training to help prepare a response to whatever type of crisis they are likely to see in their own communities. Maybe your area is never going to feel a hurricane, but it is prone to tornadoes or flooding. Maybe you are safe from all natural disasters (unlikely) but you know your area is vulnerable to an economic crisis. We can guide your church as you create a strategy to enter into the mission field created by a local crisis. As your church’s prepare team works through developing your goals, you can also use short-term trips to an active Crisis Response site as team building and strategy-refining opportunity.

Because of Covid we have adapted our former in-person training to be accessible by Zoom. We are looking forward to a time when we can all gather together again, but ministry doesn’t have to stop until that time. Next month we will be hosting our first hybrid in-person and online training at First Free Church in Manchester, MO. Check out our equipping page for more information on Prepare training or email us for more information on how training could work for your church.
