Battle Royal

A group of girls poses after the first epic “Battle Royal” — a food fight against hunger, hosted September 2011 at Christ Community Church (EFCA) in Lawrence, Kan. Featuring a 100-foot-long chocolate slide and a massive food brawl, the battle pulled in nearly 600 teens in attendance and 4,200 pounds of food to donate to the local food pantry. The goal for this year’s event, planned for September 9, is to pull in 10,000 pounds of food and an anticipated 1,200 in attendance.
