Leading the Way

Paco Cojon was one of 36 attendees at the first-ever Immigrant Hope Pathway training in July 2011. Member of a Wisconsin megachurch, Paco is one of many immigration counselors-in-training. He’s not part of the EFCA, yet his ongoing ministry will be a first fruit of the EFCA’s vision. “I work with the Hispanic community as a ministry,” Paco says, “and many times they ask me about immigration questions. Before, I didn’t have any answers, but now our church is thinking of launching our own legal consulting services. You can’t even imagine my peoples’ faces when I tell them about this [training]. . . . So happy.” Paco looks pretty happy himself. (Read more about Immigrant Hope here.)
