Partnership in Action

Each year, North Suburban EFC in Deerfield, Ill., partners with local Chicagoland ministries to bring Thanksgiving to life. The annual event is called Project Share, and it brings together church and community members in one big Saturday of assembling baskets full of Thanksgiving dinner fixings (plus the Gospel of John and a handwritten note). These are then distributed by the Chicagoland partner ministries to families in need. This year, North Suburban members donated more than $35,000 toward the effort. That led to 1,056 baskets being packed and loaded, which means that 1,056 families celebrated with extra-thankful hearts.
