Planting churches

Childlike Faith

In October 2011, Taft Avenue Community Church (EFCA) in Orange, Calif., sent a team of nine people to Southeast Asia. Together with a local center that trains pastors to serve in several villages, the team spent nine days canvassing, meeting with the people (who work the local tea and rice plantations), and inviting villagers to a daily “village meeting.” There, they (like the little girl, shown above) sang songs, heard a gospel message, met the local pastor and prayed. In the past six trips the church has taken to this area, its teams have helped to plant roughly 50 churches.
